Each time you adopt instead of buying a pet, you save many lives, not just one. In addition to saving the rescued animal, you leave more room at the rescue groups for others in need. If you buy from a pet store or breeder, somewhere else an animal will likely be euthanized due to overpopulation, and your purchase will encourage breeders to breed even more. There are far too many animals of all types, including purebreds — millions end up euthanized every year. We intend not to just reduce this number, but to work toward completely stopping this practice in the years ahead. We can only do so with YOUR help, so please Volunteer.
